Mission and Vision Statements

The Mission Statement for Daimler is:
We invented the automobile and are passionately shaping its future. As pioneers of automobile design andconstruction, we intend to continue this unique tradition and to make future mobility safe and sustainable. We want to inspire our customers with

• exciting premium automobiles that set standards indesign, safety, comfort, perceived value, reliability and environmental compatibility,
• commercial vehicles that are the best in their respective competitive environment, and
• outstandingservice solutions related to these products.
This is our mission, and what we stand for at Daimler.
This mission is supported by a target system that includes targets for Daimler as a whole and foreach of our businesses (www.daimler.com).

Our group decided that this mission statement clearly indicates the basic understanding that the company desires to uphold a technological and innovativestronghold in their market. Daimler knows very well that their brands are leading brands in automobile industry, and they want to keep their market position based on their product quality. Toaccomplish that goal, the company work for being innovator. However, we also feel as if the statement could include clauses pertaining to its shareholders and employees, though we understand that a missionstatement needs to be specific.

Daimler’s vision statement is as follows:
A pioneering spirit and power of innovation for sustainable mobility. For almost 125 years we have been developing answersto the automotive challenges of the respective eras. As the inventors of the automobile, we are equally committed to protection of the climate and the environment and to the safety of our vehicles andaccident prevention.
