If you visit Oaxaca you can practice some extreme sports just like: Surf, rappel, snorkel, diving, and mountain cycling. The most practiced sport isthe surf, because is easier and cheaper than the others, you just need a surf board. Surf had become the most common extreme sport in Oaxaca; this is because the tourists get amazed with the surfers inPuerto Escondido and that how the people who live in Puerto Escondido decided to practice this wonderful sport.
People from all around the world come to Oaxaca to practice these amazing sports,this help to the state because all these people pay taxes and spend money in the tournaments that’s how they help the state in an economic way.
Oaxaca is one of the richest states that Mexico has,that’s why this state is the best state to practice extreme sports is, it has high and low mountains to practice rappel, also it has beautiful rivers where you can practice rafting it is recommended toalways wear a helmet because the rivers flow in Oaxaca are strong. As I mentioned the most practiced sport is the surf, this is because Oaxaca has 5 main beaches which are divided by zones for the expertsand rookies.
Each year there are two main tournaments the “summer open” and the “spring open” this tournaments receive the best surfers from all around the world, talking about cycling there just afew tournaments most of them are local tournaments just one is an international tournament, Ignacio Torres is the one that represents Mexico in that tournament.
