RESUMEN
Es la reacciónemocional evocada cuando el individuo percibe una situación específica como amenazante, sin importar si existe algún peligro presente. El término ansiedad, proviene del latían "anxietas", congoja o aflicción. Existe una angustia que puede ser considerada normal, pues aparece frente a diversos estímulos estresantes, que implican una amenaza real e imponen un desafío. La ansiedad es anormal cuandoes desproporcionada y demasiado prolongada para el estímulo desencadenante. actuación ante los otros, temor a que se den cuenta de nuestras dificultades, temor a la pérdida del control, dificultades para pensar, estudiar o concentrarse, entre otros. 2. Uno de cada ocho Norteamericanos entre los 18-54 años padece algún tipo de Trastorno de Ansiedad. Cada vez más jóvenes adolescentes sienten síntomas de trastornos de ansiedad como taquicardia, mareos, la sensación de ahogo, de pérdida del control y de muerteinminente. 1. Los síntomas emocionales del trastorno de ansiedad: • Preocupación, temor, inseguridad, dificultad para decidir, miedo, pensamientos negativos sobre uno mismo, pensamientos negativos sobre nuestra
• Sudoración, tensión muscular, palpitaciones, taquicardia, temblor, evitación de situaciones temidas, fumar, comer o beber en exceso, molestias en el estómago (otras molestias gástricas),dificultades respiratorias, sequedad de boca, dificultades para tragar, dolores de cabeza, mareo, náuseas, molestias en el estómago, entre otras.
ABSTRACT
Emotional reaction is evoked when an individual perceives a specific situation as threatening, whether there is any present danger. The word anxiety comes from the throbbing "anxietas" anguish and grief. There is an anguish that can beconsidered normal, as shown against various stressful stimuli, which involve a real threat and impose a challenge. Anxiety is abnormal when it is disproportionate and too long for the triggering stimulus.
Statistical overview of anxiety in Mexico and Latin America American Psychiatric Association (1995). Anxiety Disorders are considered today as the most common mental disorder in the United Statesand Mexico. One of every eight Americans between 18-54 years have some form of anxiety disorder. More and more young teenagers feel symptoms of anxiety disorders such as tachycardia, dizziness, shortness of breath, loss of control and impending death. 1. Emotional symptoms of anxiety disorder: • Worry, fear, insecurity, difficulty deciding, fear, negative thoughts about yourself negative thoughtsabout our performance against the other, fearing that to realize our difficulties, fear of loss of control, difficulty thinking, studying, or concentrate, etc. 2.
