Dialogue - Our School Will Be Green

Our school will be green!
It represents that we’re representative of two students groups and each group proposes a different ecological project for school. We’re in a meeting to choose what will bethe next GreenProject we will do in our school. The first group proposes the solar panels and the second bicycle campaign. Each group has thought about advantages and disadvantages of their projects.RAÚL: I want present solar panels for be the next GreenProject in our school. They are harmless to the environment: the solar panels are clean, quiet and environmentally friendly.
SARA: Yes, it’strue, but it need a great work of installation, because you need to install to get panels to get capture the sun's energy.
RAÚL: That’s true, but once they are installed they do not generatepollutants: solar panels do not generate carbon dioxide and other pollutants to the environment
SARA: You’ve got a point! , but we will need for investment over € 2,000.
RAÚL: The investment cost is highbecause it is a relatively new renewable energy and demand is still not enough to bring down costs considerably. Moreover do not generate pollutants, solar panels do not generate carbon dioxide and otherpollutants to the environment. They provide clean energy, the solar panels are a source of clean and green energy.
SARA: Okay, let’s listen our project and after, we will decide. We think that thebest project will be a bicycle campaign. It has a lot of advantages, for students and for environment. First of all, it’s an environmental friendly project: we will be protecting our planet avoiding theemissions of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.
RAÚL: That’s true, but maybe some of students that will use our program will don’t respect the regulation of road safety and these students possiblywill have problems to go to school the days that will be snowing or raining a lot.
SARA: This project will be healthy for those who choose to participate.
