Este diccionario responde a la necesidad defacilitar el estudio de una obra cuya importancia
radica en la amplitud conceptual que brida, misma que permite integrar conocimientos científicos
actuales, filosóficos, históricos y de religión desarrollada, esta última entendida como la
experiencia íntima y personal de lo sagrado, con independencia de credos institucionalizados y
puntos de vista o actitudes intolerantes o dogmáticas.
EsteDiccionario comprende conceptos referentes a su célebre Prólogo y a la primera de sus
cuatro partes; se trata de una herramienta para consulta de términos y conceptos cuyo significado
adquiere comprensión adecuada con el punto de vista global que ofrece la lectura completa y
atenta de El Libro de Urantia, nombre gran universal con el cual se conoce al planeta Tierra.
Al final se anexan cuatro trabajosdirigidos a quienes desean introducirse en el conocimiento de
tan magna obra, tanto por sus dimensiones como por su contenido, a la cual se puede tener

Temática: Cuando un científico se refiere a Dios, como lo hace por ejemplo, Stephen W.
Hawking en su obra A Brief History of Time, alude a un ideal hipotéticogarante de la
racionalidad del universo; en la metafísica filosófica, Dios es concebido como el único ser que
existe por sí mismo, que no depende de ningún otro para existir; en las religiones monoteístas,
Dios es el Padre universal y amoroso de sus hijos. Pero es importante mostrar que el ideal
hipotético, la Primera Causa incausada o autoexistente y el Dios de las religiones desarrolladas,
serefieren a lo mismo. Es esto lo que se expone y explica en El Libro de Urantia, y es lo que
permite obtener un “punto de vista inclusivo integral” de la metafísica filosófica, la cosmología,
la historia natural y humana, así como la ciencia actual y la religión personal desarrollada. Para
lograr este punto de vista es necesario poseer la información adecuada y suficiente pero,
principalmente, unamente abierta y por supuesto, estudiar el libro.
