Diego Armando Maradona was born on october 30th in 1960, at villa Fiorito, buenos aires, argentina. He was born at Evita Hospital, Lanús City and he is the fifth child from Diego Maradona and DalmaSalvadora Franco. He was rose surrounded by a poor environment, where he could play soccer since he was young with his friends, by “los potreros” and at soccer fields near the zone. His first soccerteam was called “estrella Roja” or Red Star, which was founded by his father. Diego played there with his friends, one of them was Gregorio Carrizo (Goyo) who was his school partner at Remedios deEscalada de San Martin School. Goyo played in B cathegory in Argentino Juniors Team and he invited Diego to get a chance there, He doubted about it at first but he accepted finally. At his 15 yearsold he started playing at the A cathegory of Argentinos Juniors. His carrier continued with Boca Juniors, Barcelona, Napoli, Newels and Boca Juniors again. Diego Made his debut at A cathegory withArgentinos Juniors on October the 20th in 1976, versus Talleres de Córdoba.
He played in Argentinos Juniors till 1981, becoming the scorer at many tournaments in 1978, 1979 and 1980. At that moment theeverybody was talking about that boy that deleited people with his extraordinary way of playing. In 1980 Maradona was considered the best soccer player of the world. On February 1981, he startedplaying in Boca Juniors, the most popular team of Argentina, and there was born an inmortal romance between Boca Juniors and Maradona. In 1982 he played the soccer World Cup at España, and there he wassold to Barcelona´s Club.
His first official soccer game at Barcelona was on September the 4th in 1982, where although que score his team loose versus Valencia. Maradona played 20 games and score atotal of 20 goals. Between 1982/1983 he was considered one of the biggest spaniel soccer stars.
In 1986 Diego won the Soccer World Cup with Argentina´s team.
