DOG AND BUTCHER
He entered a dog in a butcher shop, and noting that the butcher was busy with customers, took a piece of meat and ran. Butcher turned and saw him flee, unable to do anything, he exclaimed:
- Hey friend! wherever you are, I will not stop looking at you!
Moral: Do not wait until an accident happens to think about how to avoid it.
EL PERRO Y EL CARNICERO
Penetró unperro en una carnicería, y notando que el carnicero estaba muy ocupado con sus clientes, cogió un trozo de carne y salió corriendo. Se volvió el carnicero, y viéndole huir, y sin poder hacer ya nada, exclamó:
- ¡Oye amigo! allí donde te encuentre, no dejaré de mirarte!
Moraleja: No esperes a que suceda un accidente para pensar en cómo evitarlo.
THE WOLF AND THE DOG
A wolf with a big dogon a necklace was found, and asked:
- Who has chained you and who has fed you that way?
- My master, the hunter - said the dog -.
- May the gods deliver us to the wolves of such a fate! I'd rather starve lugging that heavy collar.
Moral: It's hard work in freedom, that pleasure in bondage.
EL LOBO Y EL PERRO
Se encontró un lobo con un corpulento perro sujeto por un collar, y lepreguntó:
- ¿Quién te ha encadenado y quién te ha alimentado de esa forma?
- Mi amo, el cazador - respondió el perro -.
- ¡Que los dioses nos libren a los lobos de semejante destino! Prefiero morir de hambre a tener que cargar tan pesado collar.
Moraleja: Vale más el duro trabajo en libertad, que el placer en esclavitud.
THE LION AND THE DEER
He was a very angry lion, roaring andscreaming for no reason. I saw a deer at a safe distance and exclaimed:
- Wretched of us, the other forest animals if the lion was quiet when we were so unbearable, what will not be able to be in the way it is now?
Moral: We must be careful never to give power to the irascible and harmful, because if we wantonly damage and more will do so if for any reason you feel unhappy.
EL LEÓN Y EL CIERVOEstaba un león muy furioso, rugiendo y gritando sin ninguna razón. Lo vio un ciervo a prudente distancia y exclamó:
- ¡Desdichados de nosotros, los demás animales del bosque, si cuando el león estaba sosegado nos era tan insoportable, ¿de qué no será capaz estando en la forma que está ahora?
Moraleja: Cuidémonos de no dar nunca poder a los irascibles y dañinos, pues si ya sin motivo nosdañan, más lo harán si por cualquier causa se sienten inconformes.
L WOLF AND THE LAMB IN THE TEMPLE
Realizing he was being chased by a wolf, a little lamb decided to take refuge in a nearby temple. He called the wolf and said that if it was in there sacrificer, immolate what their god.
- Just as well! - Replied the lamb - I prefer to be a victim for a god to have to perish in your fangs.Moral: If you're going to be hopelessly slaughtered, we better make it the greatest honor
L LOBO Y EL CORDERO EN EL TEMPLO
Dándose cuenta de que era perseguido por un lobo, un pequeño corderito decidió refugiarse en un templo cercano. Lo llamó el lobo y le dijo que si el sacrificador lo encontraba allí dentro, lo inmolaría a su dios.
- ¡Mejor así! - replicó el cordero - prefiero ser víctimapara un dios a tener que perecer en tus colmillos.
Moraleja: Si sin remedio vamos a ser sacrificados, más nos vale que sea con el mayor honor
MILAN AND THE SEAGULL
He swallowed a seagull and a fish too big it broke the throat, being dead to the edge of the beach. Saw a kite and said:
- Have you deserve, because knowing your ability, you abused what was allowed you.
Moral: Knowingwhat your capabilities, never try to overcome them if you have not prepared for it.
EL MILANO Y LA GAVIOTA
Tragó una gaviota un pez demasiado grande y le estalló la garganta, quedando muerta a la orilla de la playa. La vio un milano y dijo:
- Tienes tu merecido, porque sabiendo de tu capacidad, abusaste de lo que te estaba permitido.
Moraleja: Sabiendo cuales son tus capacidades,...
