Discriminacion

Este trabajo busca asociar esta problemática social a los diferentes conceptos existentes en psicología social.

Se trataran temas como cognición social en la discriminación, percepciónselectiva, factores contemporáneos del fenómeno perceptivo, el enfoque cognoscitivo, la mera expectativa, actitud, etc. El informe busca entregar una explicación psico-social al fenómeno de ladiscriminación.

Introduction

Discrimination is the act of making a distinction, it is an act of abuse and injustice that violates the right of equal opportunity. Discrimination as such is nottolerated in any democratic society and should not exist.

Humans tend to group together and form organizations with complex social beliefs that influence their personal relationships withother groups. These modes of thinking patterns that are frequently used to classify the other, a criterion that must be shared so as not to risk losing membership in the group. This way ofvaluing differences, underestimating and not respecting the customs of other cultures is learned through generations that have done the same and can not withstand any criticism because any individualdifferences can mean being part of the group itself. The differences between groups of people from different cultures can be sorted by color, race, religion, nationality, weight, height, levelof intelligence, skills, purchasing, etc.., And if members of a group do not comply with what is considered acceptable by another group, these can ignore and reject. This research attempts tolink this issue to the different social concepts in social psychology. Were addressed issues such as discrimination in social cognition, selective perception, perceptual phenomenon of contemporaryfactors, the cognitive approach, the mere expectation, attitude, and so on. The report seeks to deliver an explanation to the psycho-social phenomenon of discrimination.
