RESUMEN:
El consumo de drogas entre quienes se están desarrollando física y socialmenteconstituye un gran
problema a nivel mundial. Por ello es importante conocer las pautas de consumo de drogas legales e
ilegales en México para poder realizar un abordaje adecuado a las necesidades a nivel nacional. El
objetivo de este estudio es mejorar el conocimiento de algunos de los factores y actitudes que
pueden influir en el consumo de drogas de los estudiantes universitarios. Metodología. Serealizó un
estudio transversal descriptivo. La población objetivo fueron los alumnos que permanecieron a las
licenciaturas de Enfermería, Mercadotecnia, Ingeniería Civil, ingresaban por primera vez en la
Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, Zona Media. Resultados. De 150 alumnos de las carreras
de L. M., L.E., L.I. que estudian en la universidad autónoma de S.L.P. el 8.7 % han consumidodrogas ilegales alguna vez, el 91.3 % dicen no haber consumido, la edad en que se inicia el
consumo de drogas por primera vez, la mayoría de los alumnos encuestados respondieron que
nunca han consumido, teniendo solo un 7.3 % que comenzaron a los 16 años, las drogas más
consumidas por los jóvenes, son las de diseño, en las que destaca el éxtasis, cocaína, sus
principales efectos sonalucinaciones o ilusiones. El cannabis, especialmente en su variedad de
resina (hachís), 7 % de los estudiantes si ha consumido alguna vez. Tras el cannabis se sitúa el
consumo de cocaína, aumentando en los últimos años el porcentaje de consumidores regulares.
Mientras que el 93 % de los jóvenes nunca han consumido droga ilegal.

ABSTRACT:
The drug consumption between those who is being developedphysical and socially constitutes a
great problem at world-wide level. For that reason it is important to know you rule of legal and
illegal drug consumption in Mexico to be able to realise a boarding adapted to the needs at national
level. The objective of this study is to improve the knowledge of some of the factors and attitudes
that can influence in the drug consumption of the universitystudents. Methodology. A descriptive
cross-sectional study was realised. The objective population went the students who remained to the
degrees of Infirmary, Marketing research, Civil Engineering, entered for the first time the
Independent University of Potosí San Luis, Average Zone. Results. Of 150 students of the races of
L.M., L.E., L.I that study in the independent university of S.L.P the 8,7 %have consumed illegal
drugs sometimes, the 91,3 % say not to have consumed, the age in which the drug consumption
begins for the first time, the majority of the survey students responded that never they have
consumed, having only 7,3 % that began to the 16 years, the drugs more consumed by the young
people, are those of design, in which it emphasizes the ecstasy, cocaine, their main effectsare
