Teacher’s Goals (Direct Method and Total Physical Response)
To embolden the students to think in the Target Language, reducing their stress in order to encourage them to studybeyond beginners’ level.

Teacher’s Role / Student’s Role (Desuggestopedia)
Students respect the teacher’s authority and they trust him/her.

Characteristics of teaching/learning process (DirectMethod)
Students associate meaning and the Target Language. Grammar is taught through examples to figure out the rule.

Interaction among Teachers and Students (Community Language Learning)
At thebeginning, the interaction is primary from the teacher to the students, decreasing such interaction to clarify doubts. Later on, it will be most of the time student-student.

Students Feelings(Communicative Language Learning and Silent Way)
Learning to communicate will make students feel more motivated to keep on learning the second language. At the on of the class, as feedback, studentsexpress how they feel about their learning in order to improve the teaching style.

View about Language and Culture (Direct Method)
Since it’s an ESL class, encourage the students to learn furthermoreabout the Target Language Country.

Areas of Language (Grammar Translation)
All four skills are used; however, Writing is more emphasized over Speaking.

Students’ Native Language Role (GrammarTranslation)
It’s used in a minimal way, not in a regular basis, and it’s only to clarify grammar points, but just once when the grammar point is seen for the first time.

Evaluation AccomplishedInformal:
Through daily exercises, written and/or oral productions.
Formal:
Written test about the points seen during the week.

Response to Error (Total Physical Response and CommunicativeLanguage Teaching)
When errors are produced, the teacher just takes notes about them, not correct them at once. At the end of the class, without giving names, the teacher makes comments about the mistakes...
