The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark. Hamlet is the famous character of the writer William Shakespeare, this might as well be his mostworshiped piece of work. Hamlet also is a tragic hero, he is the son of the murdered king, and hes passionately in love with Ophelia, he is also the protagonist.
In the beggings of the play Hamlet isvisited by the ghost of his father, he is then toled that there has been a terrible treason. The father tells him that he has been murdered by hamlets uncle Claudius, with poison to the ear and thathe should avenge his death. Then to top it all his mother Queen Gertrude marries his uncle, now king of Denmark within two months of Hamlet's fathers death to which she was previously married. Fromthere on Hamlet starts to act like a mad man and every body gets really watchful of his actions.
But the truth is that Hamlet is in pain because of his fathers death, but he is not mad, that is simplya plan of distraction so that his uncle Claudius doesn't see his true intentions. Unfortunately with his fake insanity he convinces absolutely every one including his mother and his love Ophelia,except his target, his uncle.
Hamlet never really becomes insane but he does have questionable reasonings that might prove otherwise, he repeatedly considers whether or not suicide is a morallylegitimate action to end the sufferings that he is going through, he is complex character with many confusing and often conflicting ideas and actions, he is a very smart person but his personality leads himthrough actions that eventually led to his ultimate downfall.

The acting of his insanity is one of his tragic downfalls combined with his intellect, for this mad personality devastates hisrelations with his mother Gertrude and Ophelia.
