My ninos and I
In this picture, appear my two godparents and I at my quinceañera. His name was Rafael Vazquez and her name was Maria Antonia Venzor; this event ittook place in Cd. Juarez in August 11 1999. This people were like my second parents and they also thought of me like their daughter. Every time I look at thispicture I get transported to that time with them, when we had a great time as a family, everybody was so excited and happy dancing, sharing smiles and having a good time.My dear aunt Toña was a mellow and loving person, letting me do whatever I wanted with her. Being an overprotective mother she got angry with another couple ofuncles from my father’s side of the family because they wanted to instate themselves as the official padrinos (or sponsors) of the party, but her negative feelings wereput aside because her dream was to see her favorite nice having the best party of her life. She was such an influence in my life, that after finishing my fistcollege degree in International Business, I’ve decided to go back to school and become a nurse like her.
My uncle Rafa, a Mexican surgeon, was one to encourage me withthe right hand and mislead me with the left. He always made sure that I did all may homework and attended to my scholastic responsibilities but also would teach me howto go behind my aunts back when we wanted to have dessert for breakfast, have late night dinners and enjoy all kinds of pastries, even though he was diabetic. Hewas the one to cry the most during the ceremony and during the party, even though I had a father which was happy but overall calm, my uncle couldn’t be comforted.
