According to the information of the office of planning and statistics of the direction VII territorial provincial DIRTEPOL of the state police ofthe Peru PNP, in the year 2002 36.841 denunciations were registered by physical and psychological mistreatments before the PNP in metropolitan lime andin the Callao. In the year 2003 the number I increase to 38.336 denunciations, which demonstrates furthermore this problem. In relation a year 2004,the number to level of the region VII bright green of the PNP I increase to 41.567 denunciations.
These numbers do not reflect the reality, sincegenerally the violence is concealed by the own victim. In the matter different studies show that 6 of every 10 women are victims of familiar violenceand a woman of every 5 is a victim of sexual violence. With the total of the persons who have been ill-treated or struck only one of every threesearch it helps in a nearby person, and only one of every four comes to a police station.
On the national level it thinks that eight of every ten casesof sexual abuse take as an aggressor a member of the familiar environment of the victim and six of every ten pregnancies in eleven andfourteen-year-old girls of age are a product of the incest or violation.
