What have I learn from working in a cross-cultural context



During the Cross-Cultural Seminar I really enjoyed sharing experiences and ideas with peoplefrom other countries, and I really liked investigating about the topic we were assigned to. In my case my team was formed by four French students and one from Singapur, and I never thought that each ofus would contribute many different opinions. I think that one of my biggest successes during this experience was to get organized with my team to accomplish the assignment, I personally realized howimportant it is to maintain constant communication with each of the members, since we each of us contributed in different ways. On the other hand, I think it was a very important success for me,because it was the first time that I interacted with a team made with only international students and I felt very comfortable with my team, I really liked the fact that each of us took an important role inthe project and most important is that we create an environment full of communication, all intended to meet our objectives. I learned a lot from different cultures during this seminar, plus I had theopportunity to share about the customs from my country, Mexico. Besides I learned from my team, especially to be open to other ways of thinking and communicate effectively with all of the members.Also another thing I liked so much is that I considered that our presentation was so dynamic and entertaining, that our group selected us as the best and we needed to present it in the theater,I considered that the topic assigned to our group was so interesting and I learned many new facts, for example I didn´t knew that they were so many endangered languages around the world and I thinkthe question we have to make us is if it really worth it to save them all of them, in my opinion and considering the problems my country is facing I think that we have problems that are more...
