Essay "Friendship"

“Is friendship possible between men and women?”

Have you ever felt something for someone who is supposed to be your friend? Have you ever started a relationship as a friendship? Haveyou ever liked someone as a friend and suddenly got to know that that friend was completely and madly fallen in love with you? The most possible answer to al least one of my questions is“YES, I had” and that massive answer is the reason why I’m writing this essay, that recurrent answer is what makes me think: “ Is friendship possible between men and women? Does friendshipbetween people of opposite sex exist? Clearly, this is not a black or white question, it is much more complicated than that…
In my opinion, this is a very difficult thing to happen because themost probable situation is that at least one of the persons does not see the other one as a friend, and so that is not a real friendship. Or perhaps none of them had stopped themselves tothink if they like the other person; but there is where you have to say to yourself: “ what would I do if he/she tells me that he/she feels something for me? Would I open my doors and turnthat “friend” into something else? If you doubt it just for one second, that is not a real friendship; and the most difficult thing to happen is that both (male and female) say a veritableand strong “NO”.
To conclude, I would say that a friendship between to persons of the opposite sex is possible but it is not a usual thing; the friend relation has to be very strong, justlike if they were brother and sister and they must never doubt about their feelings for the other person not for one second. And remember…don’t trust every “friend”, because the mostprobable thing is that while you are talking and telling probably him or rarely her what you have been studying, that friend is dreaming about how wonderful it would be to have you in his bed!!
