Activity 1
Clients: The most important thing

When offering products or services, only one objective must be considered: satisfying clients. Although this thought seems to beinfluenced by a market-based approach, it actually constitutes the businessmen’s ultimate goal which will lead to success.

Clients are people, businesses or groups which freely acquire or buy productsor services in order to satisfy personal or organizational needs. For that reason, they represent the main reason for creating, manufacturing and commercializing products and services.

Withinthe entertainment industry there are clients as well. Generally they are utterly demanding because neither a product, nor a service is sold, but an experience.

In this activity, you will recognizethe sorts of clients involved in negotiations; also, based on your managerial view, you will propose the way you would deal with them to reach an agreement to organize an event.

Instructions:1. Read the Annex 2: Sorts of clients.



2. Choose at least four sorts of clients and write your own managerial strategy for persuading them to acquire a media and entertainment industryproduct or service.

3. Use the following table to develop this activity:
