The renowned chef Gaston Acurio, son of former minister and former senator of the Peruvian Parliament Acurio Velarde and Mrs. Jesusa Razuri Jaramillo. He was born in Lima, Peruon October 30, 1967.
Since very little always seek refuge in the kitchen of his home, where he made a great friendship with the cook.
In 1987 he traveled to Spain to continue hisstudies at the University Complutense, despite not being very happy with what turned out to be a good student studied and got good grades, but preferred cookbooks before theconstitution and instead learned recipes memorize the laws.

Año 2009
Gastón Acurio recibe el premio de lafundación holandesa, Prince Claus, por su contribución a la difusión de la cultura como una herramienta de paz en el mundo.
Su libro 500 años de fusión es elegido por la GourmandWorld Cookbook Awards como el mejor del mundo en materia gastronómica. La ceremonia se realiza en el prestigioso local de La Comédie Française.

Gastón Acurio es elegidopor UNICEF como “Embajador de Buena Voluntad en la Niñez”.
Año 2011
Gastón Acurio es elegido como uno de los 20 cocineros más influyentes del mundo en la feria Madrid Fusión.
