GEORGE H. W. BUSH
George Walter Bush, known as George W. Bush was the forty-third president of the United States from January 20, 2001 until January 20, 2009. Between 1995 and 2000 he was the46th governor of Texas. Active member of the Republican Party.
PRIVATE LIFE
Childhood
Bush was born in New Haven, Connecticut, the first child of the marriage of George H. W. Bush and his wifeBarbara. From the colonial period the Bush family had always lived in rural areas, but Bush decided to break the tradition in 1948, when he moved to Texas. There, Bush was raised in the cities ofMidland and Houston, along with his younger brothers Jeb, Neil, Marvin and his sisters Dorothy and Robin (the latter died at the early age of three years, due to leukemia).
Education
Continuing the familytradition, Bush attended Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts.También he followed his father to be accepted to Yale University, where he joined the secret society known as Skull and Bones, andin 1968 obtained the Degree Bills. In May 1968, highlight the Vietnam War, Bush joins the Texas Air National Guard (in English; Texas Air National Guard), where after two years of training he learnedto fly the F-102 Delta Dagger. He served as pilot of the F-102 to 1972.4
In 1974 he was allowed to finish his military service of six years with six months notice to attend the Harvard BusinessSchool, where a year later won the Master of Business Administration (MBA). After graduation, Bush returned to Texas and engages in the oil business. Two years later, he married Laura Welch, a librarianoriginally from Midland, Texas. The result of this marriage were born, in 1981, his twin daughters Barbara and Jenna.
