PersonalReview: Gossip Girl #1: A Novel (Gossip Girl Series)
Truthfully, this book has no moral value whatsoever, which is why I think the people who have negative things to say about it dont like it. Thecharacters are all rich teenagers (aside from a few) in high school who have sex, drink and party all the time, wear fabulous clothes, gossip about and back stab one another, engage in drug use, and nothinghorrible ever happens to them in spite of all that. Now is it right that they engage in risky

behaviors yet dont ever suffer the consequences? No. Which is why I can understand why a parent wouldnot want their child to read any of the Gossip Girl books. But I for one, would rather not read a book about teenagers who do drugs and have sex and end up with some horrible disease because of it.Because honestly...who wants to read about somebody having crotch rot? Yeah, thats what I thought. That being said....I LOVE the Gossip Girl books. A book series about the glamorous lives of rich,stuck-up teenagers who can do whatever they want and get away with it is the perfect juicy read for escaping from the everday problems of your own life and getting wrapped up in the drama of the characters,or its just nice to read on a lazy sunday afternoon. And really, its not just any old book about the rich and the famous, as Im aware that there are several books out there on the very same topic....
