Guadalajara

Guadalajara is a Latin American capital of the Mexican State of Jalisco, as well as the urban area named header: Guadalajara metropolitan area. Located in the western part of the Mexican Republic inthe central region of the State of Jalisco. Its territory bounds on the North by the municipalities of Zapopan and Rio Ixtlahuacán; East Tonalá and Zapotlanejo, Tlaquepaque and West with ZapopanSouth.
Its name comes from Arabic, meaning 'Stone Valley' although traditionally the translation of the name is: 'Rio Piedras' or 'strengths Valley', although commonly referred to as "The Pearl ofWestern", "La Perla Tapatía" or "La Ciudad de las Rosas". Juan de Oñate founder named the city after conquistador Nuño Beltrán de Guzmán Western by his hometown:
