GUIDE OF ENGLISH

ADJETIVES AND ADVERBS

-An adjective describes a noun. Example: Ann is a careful driver
careful describes driver.
An Adverb. Describes the action of a verb. Example: Anndrives carefully.
carefully describes drives.
-Mr. Wilson whispered. He spoke quietly.
-Boris writes carelessly.
-Anna pronounces every word clearly.

-The adjective form and the adverb form arethe same for fast,hard, early,late.
-Mike is a fast reader.
-I study hard.

Well is the adverb form of good.
-Linda is a good writer.
-Linda writes well.
ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY
Adverbs ofFrequency are Adverbs of Time that answer the question "How frequently?" or "How often?". They tell us how often something happens. Here are some examples:
a. daily, weekly, yearly
b. often, sometimes,rarely
Se utilizan para indicar con qué frecuencia se realiza la acción indicada por el verbo.
Always, often, usually, sometimes, occasionally, rarely, seldom, never, regularly, normally.
I sometimeshave lunch in a restaurant I usually get up at 7.I often / frequently watch TV in the evening.
RELATIVE PRONOUNS

We use the relative pronouns to refer a noun mentioned before and of which. We areadoling more information, they are used to join two or more sentences.
a) Who or that for people.
b) Which or that for things.
c) Where for places.

Examples:
This is the girl who comes fromSpain.
Mr Richards, who is a taxi driver, lives on the corner.
We often visit our aunt in Norwich which is in East Anglia.


TO + INFINITIVE ING FORM
We use ing form
As the subject of a verbSwimming is a exellent sport
Drinking alcohol is bad for you
After most of the verbs of like and dislike: adore, can’t, stand, detest,like, deslike, enjoy, hate, love, mind, prefer.
