Dear Amanda,

How are you? It has been ages since I last heard from you! I hopeeverything is going well in Canada.

Do you want to know a little bit about what’s been going on here? These past few days have been a mess.Do you remember, that I told I wanted to go to U2’s concert? Well, my friend Lucas invited me to go and by the way, he drives me crazy. Iwas very excited, but when I asked my parents they went nuts about it! I was so upset…

They told me I was too young to go to aconcert. They thought it was very dangerous, because there are many people and crazy fans. It also finished very late, about 3 o’clock in themorning and they didn’t like that idea. Besides, they had already arranged a dinner with our neighbours.

Then, I started crying and Itold them I wasn’t a little girl anymore. I say to them that it was very unfair, because all my friends were allowed to see the concert and Ihad to stay with our boring neighbours. I know it wasn’t a very mature way to convince them, but at least it worked. I think they feltguilty and decided to let me go.

I have all planed. Lucas is going to pick me up at my house and we are going to spend the whole eveningtogether, before we go to see U2. I’m thrilled and I can’t wait!
