9 is an animated action-fantasy directed by Shane Acker and produced by Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov, director of Wanted. It is based on the Oscar-nominated short film directed by Acker.
When 9 is born, is in a post-apocalyptic world. All humans are gone, and a small community of beings as 9 are hiding from some terrible machines that dominate the Earth and want to destroy.Despite being the new group, 9 convinces them to hide is not good. If they want to survive, they must fight, but for that they need to find out why the machines want to destroy first. When you succeed, the future of civilization may depend on them.

The film begins with the scientist,(Alan Openheimmer) in a lab by creating a fabric doll humanoid life and giving part of his soul transplanted using a talisman transmutata vitae.
After this, the scientist dies.
9, the humanoid cloth doll, awake, unable to speak. Find the talisman of the scientist, which saves in the opening of her body under the closure.
