I Term
Criterion A: One World.
The student describes and evaluates the benefits and limitations of medicine, as well as their effect on life and society.
Criterion B:Communication in science.
The student uses scientific language correctly.
The student uses appropriate communication modes and formats in the different endocrine system workshops.
The student usesgrammar, spelling and sentence structure correctly.
Criterion C: Knowledge and understanding of science.
The student explains why the endocrine system is important to the body.
The student identifiessome glands of the endocrine system, and describes what their hormones do.
The student describes how feedback mechanisms stop and start hormone release.
Criterion D: Scientific inquiry
The studentdefines the hypothesis, problem or research question to be tested by an endocrine system scientific investigation, include materials/equipment, a method to be followed, data to be collected andsuggestions for its analysis.
Criterion E: Processing data.
The student collects and records data, using units of measurement as and when appropriate at the endocrine system activities and laboratories.The student organizes, transforms and presents data using numerical and visual forms at the endocrine system activities.
The student analyzes and interprets the data at the endocrine system activitiesand laboratories.
