Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Last Olympian
Percy was about to turn 16, but instead of a birthday present what he would get was a prophecy. The prophecy stated that he had to make a choice that would define the world’s fate; also, that his soul was to be reaped by a cursed blade. But there was more important business going on since Kronos just let one of his mayor threat: Typhon. Itwas a huge creature, unleashed in the west of the USA to destroy everything in its path until it reached New York. Kronos’ mission was to get to Olympus, on top of the Empire State, and destroy it. That way the gods would die and the titans would rule. But the demigods wouldn’t aloud it. With the help of other Greek mythology creatures they were focused on defending the Olympus, since all the godswere busy fighting Typhon.
Percy was with a mortal, Rachel, when his friend Beckendorf (also demigod) came riding his Pegasus Blackjack. They needed to go and destroy Princess Andromeda that held hundreds of Kronos’ creatures and Kronos himself. They entered to the boat and put Greek fire in the engine room so it would explode. Unluckily, they got captured. He was devastated to see that Kronospossessed the body of Luke (demigod, son of Hermes) who used to be his friend but turned to Kronos. Percy was forced to jump off the boat leaving Beckendorf there when the explosion occurred. Since Percy was Poseidon’s son he easily fainted in the ocean without any struggle to breath. When he woke up he was in his father’s palace, his brother Tyson (a Cyclops) was also there. But there was a fightgoing on underwater. Poseidon’s palace was being attacked by a troop of Oceanus (titan of the ocean). Poseidon couldn’t go out and help the other gods fight Typhon because he had his own war unfolding.
Percy had to leave and go to Camp Half-blood. Then Nico di Angelo (demigod, son of Hades) showed up. Percy had been dreading this moment since he had a plan for him, and Percy knew it was notgoing to be good. However, he followed Nico into the gates of the Underworld. They got inside of the Underworld, but when Nico started leading him into his father’s palace he realized he had been betrayed. Percy was trapped in the Underworld, Nico just brought him there because of a deal: Hades said if he gave him Percy he would give him information about his mother. Hades trapped Percy in a cell thatdidn’t even have a door. But in the night Nico returned to save him, Percy had no choice but to trust him once again. Of course they activated an alarm which woke the dead-livings. They ran with the help of one friendly hellhound, Mary O’Leary, as far as they could. When they reached the River of Styx he knew he had to get inside.
It would make him invulnerable, but had to concentrate in whatkept him mortal, his weak spot. He chose a small point in the small of his back. If they hit him there he would instantly die. Just like Achilles’ heel, indeed, he met Achilles there; he warned him not to do it, but Percy had to. When he sunk into the water he thought he’ll die, it burned him. However, he successfully got out and beat a whole army of Hades, and Hades himself, without a scratch.When they got out of the Underworld Percy told Nico to stay there and try to convince him to fight with them against Kronos, since he refused to. Percy called Annabeth, son on Athena, to get there with all the campers she could gather. The cabins of Hermes, Ares, Apollo, Athena, etc, were there to fight. They climbed up to the Olympus and met Hermes there. After a little chat they were shocked tosee that a titan of magic had put the whole city into sleep. The invasion had started.
They divided into cabins and each fought against all the creatures that came by many boats. Percy, who was now invulnerable and the only son of Poseidon, and Annabeth helped everybody. They went to a bridge when Percy faced Kronos, he summoned the waters of the river, causing many monsters to die drowned, but...
