Introducción
El proceso de globalización, a través de la apertura e integración de las economíasnacionales y los mercados ha transformado la estructura productiva de las naciones, así como sus formas de producción y organización. Todo este proceso en donde se conjuga la revolución del sector servicios, el sector productivo, las constantes innovaciones tecnológicas y de productos, el surgimiento de nuevas formas de competencia (y a la par de cooperación) ha transformado poco a poco la economíamundial. Tomando en cuenta estas transformaciones, en algunos casos, se puede observar claramente el desempeño de las regiones, permitiendo que algunas alcancen los niveles necesarios de competitividad para formar parte del mercado y por otro lado, marginando a otras regiones actuar en los mercados sobrantes trayendo como consecuencia, bajos niveles de productividad, y por ende, de niveles de vida....
