Maintenance Service Process for the Power Wave 450. 455. 455R & 455M

• Unit is received, identified wit a barcode and work order is opened
• Physical conditionis examined and tested - Problems are noted
• Weld unit is tested on robot
• Bill of materials for repair is generated and Formex is advised of requirements and recommendations.• Formex must approve repair and replacement of missing parts before proceeding with process.
• No additional labor charges apply for additional required replacement parts (Parts Cost Only).• Sheet metal is removed for inspection and cleaning.
• Power cable is removed, contactor is removed unit is disassembled and cleaned.
• Sensitive components are removed or protectedbefore proceeding.
• Power unit is degreased and washed under pressure.
• Unit is dried and dehydrated during baking process for 12 hours.
• Unit is reassembled.
• Fanmotor is checked, all wiring and internal components are checked.
• Weld unit is tested on robot.
• Arc detected circuit is checked and calibrated, internal calibration is checked andadjusted if necessary (Power Wave 450 unit only).
• Touch sense circuit is tested (TORCHMATE – Power Wave 450 only)
• Unit is fully tested at maximum charge and data is recorded.
•Service label is applied and documentation is prepared.
• Unit is prepared for shipment.
• Service Report copy is provided with each unit.
