Instrumental Music
Instrumental music is one of my favorites but not understood by many people. For centuries, this genre was created from prehistoric man to our days. Sometimes young peopledo not appreciate this kind of music because in Puerto Rico don’t prepare us into a musical education like governments do in Europe and the United States. People listen to this genre of music forsome reasons: because is a good emotional therapeutic method, and develops personal intelligences, also it increases esteem and helps children's brain development (cognitive system). Music also thishelps to travel through time, going back to ancient times.
Instrumental music as a therapeutic method can help relieve stress and stimulates our brain functions. Also therapeutic music method areused to calm people, making them more peaceful and balanced. Music as a psychological well-being means that helps us to focus. Another improvement we get from the instrumental music is that it helpsto recover faster from physical illness in our body.
The rhythms, melodies and musical harmony stimulate intellectual development among other words, helps the cognitive system to have alarger capacity. Music also helps the fetal brain development and the cognitive development of right brain of the child. This side of the brain is in charge of the aerospace intelligence and artistic areasof the human being. This music has a grading scale that helps our emotions, causing us to increase our esteem.
We know that music evolves across the years; the instrumental music is noexception. Instrumental music transports us to ancient times; for example Greece and Rome gave us some elements of it development and also the Gregorian chant that was very important in Middle Ages. Thismusical genre is important for everyone because it teaches us the cultural changes of the nations in all ages.
