1. Do you feel sorry for Judy? For Dexter? Explain.
Not really for both of them, to begin with Judy’s attitude towards Dexter wasn’t clear atany time, she only wanted to feel loved by someone, in contrary Dexter found himself really sad because of Judy’s way of treating him, despite all of that he found a girl and was about to get marriedbut Judy asked him to marry her and he dumped his wife. It’s impossible to feel sorry for them.

2. At the beginning of section 2, what does the narrator say Dexter wants?
That he wanted to besuccessful and he also wanted everything to go well between Judy and him.
3. How does Judy embody his ambitions?
Judy embodies Dexter's ambitions with her perception of beauty in the world. Shebelieves that her beauty is a sign that she deserves great happiness.
4. What actions does Dexter take as a result of his first two meanings with Judy?
Judy asks Dexter to drive a motor boat so thatshe can be pulled on a surf-board. She then invites him to dinner the next night.

Because he didn’t really love her or was in love with her he just wanted her to be in his professional life, so his feelings didn’t change even afterthey kissed.
