Internship Report
RAYA ACADEMY
April 5 – July 3, 2010

2nd year student at the EUROMED

First of all, I thank:

Thanks to Rezaul Karim, for his support and for accepting me for an internship in his academy.

Thanks to Sushanta Das Gupta for his knowledge and his patience. I learned a lot with him.

Besides my project, I really enjoyed my stay at the Raya Academy,appreciated all the people I worked with and spent good moments

Thanks for everybody who makes me this 3 months period so nice and unforgettable.

Introduction:

London's population is its most important economic asset. Investing in people, knowledge and skills is a vital part of our agenda to achieve sustained economic growth and social inclusion for London.
There are longstanding barriers togrowth and complex issues that hinder progress.
These include high living costs, fewer opportunities for people with low skills, a skills mismatch, deprivation, discrimination, low individual expectations, a lack of guidance for individuals and poor physical infrastructures.
London now has the highest unemployment rate and the lowest employment rate in Great Britain. Only 69% of working ageadults are in employment in London. The national average is 75%.
This report is about my internship at Raya Academy covering the period of 3 months from April to July 2010.
Raya Academy offers access to the skills and knowledge, for that students get the best start in working life.
Raya Academy also allows students to facilitate their arrival, as most of them foreigners, by finding suitableaccommodation.
The academy is located in central London, more precisely in zone 2, which is a considerable advantage.
When looking for an internship I had three criterias:
1. Language and culture: I wanted to do my internship in a foreign country to improve my English and to discover a different way of life and business culture.
2. Technical diversity: a main point was to learn new things.
3.Responsibilities: I looked for an experience that will proof I am able to manage things by myself.
I can say now that my internship corresponded to what I had set myself.
