NAZCA LINES’ MYSTERY
No one is sure about the meaning Nazca Lines today, somebelieve they were made by extraterrestrial; others believe it was an astronomical calendar that was made by the Nazca, but the most important is that the Nazca Lines are something incredible, unique,another wonderful example of the Andean world, and perhaps only art is reflected is the soil, monumental art in honor of the gods, or just because they like it.
The Nazca Lines were discovered by theresearcher Paul Kosoc in 1941. There are about 900 hieroglyphs on the plain. The hieroglyphs are geometric shapes that are straight lines, triangles, spirals, circles and trapezoids. They are huge insize. The most important figures are the monkey, dog, spider, tree and hands, the pelican, birds of 259 and 275 meters, parrots, iguanas, a whale of 27 meters and there is a lizard that was cut inorder to build the South Panamerican Highway.
Some people say that Nazca Lines were an airport for aliens, since it is the only way to be seen from this heigth UFOs are the best evidence that exists inthe world. This theory was supported by Von Daniken in his book “The response of the Gods”, affirming that keeps track of extraterrestrial craft visiting the area and were superior beings who built themysterious lines.
Maria Reiche, defined it as a strange testimony and legacy of ancient Peruvian cultures. It is said that Nazca Lines registered a scientific tradition in which the ancientPeruvians developed an alphabet to record the most important astronomical events of those days. What is known is that the ancient Nazca Performed magic strange and mysterious religious ceremonies in differentseasons.
