Ppt# 6-8 Objectives Present Yes/No Questions andshort answers.
Warm-up:Ask the group to sit in pairs and play vocabulary bingo, to practice and have information to complement the sentences and questions of the following topic. |
Introduction(Intro):Introduce the students the Yes/No questions with answers structure, give examples and write a chart with the verb To Be contractions to help the ss. to complete their questions.Use the mostfrequent Wh-questions. Give as many examples as necessary. |
Exercises:Play the Conversation Model in p.6 and ask questions about the conversation. Have the ss. to complete the exercise in p. 6 and 7,check the answers together.Ask for four volunteers to role-play the conversation pair work in p.7 Clarify all the doubts about the topic with these exercises. |
Evaluation / Application:Play theconversation model in p.8 and ask the ss. to write a similar conversation with their ideas.Have the ss. to answer in pair the exercise in p.8 and 9 and check the answers with the group.Ask the groupto stand up and tell that everybody must ask a question to a friend of the class, using the previous structure. The person who answers, must make the next question so everybody participates, if thequestion is not correct, they cannot continue to the next person.HW: ask the ss. to write 6 questions they would like to know about their friends. |
