Course: 2nd ‘B’
Time: 120 minutes.
Teaching point:
Present Continuous tense for future arrangements.Objectives:
To make students able to differentiate between the use of is/ are/ am, depending on the pronoun they have.
To make students aware of the future use Present Continuous has.
To makestudents able to put into practise what they have already learnt.
To make students able to write positive, negative and interrogative sentences, using the Present Continuous tense. Process guided bythe teacher, done by themselves, though.

Warm-Up: (25 minutes)
The teacher is going to present a picture of herself. While sticking it on the board, she is going to tell her students that she ishaving quite a busy week ahead. She will write next to the picture: Monday: to prepare 2nd ‘A’ exams. After writing this, she is going to ask her students for help to turn it into the PresentContinuous form (reminding them, they are future arrangemens). While doing so, the teacher is going to ask them which pronoun could be used in order to replace the noun “teacher”. After this, and mostimportantly the teacher is going to remark the correct use of the verb to be, if the pronoun is a singular one.
Eg: To prepare 2nd ‘A’ exams.
The teacher/ she is preparing 2nd ‘A’ exams on Monday.Activity I: (20 minutes)
Later, the teacher is going to stick on the board as well, a page which belongs to her diary (a poster). She is is going to explain that she needs them to write sentences abouther future arrangements.
Tuesday | correct 3rd ‘C’ exams. |
Wednesday | go to the dentist. |
Thursday | Buy a chocolate cake. |
Friday | Cut my hair. |
Saturday | Go to Parque de la Costawith Nancy. |
Sunday | Celebrate my birthday. |

The teacher is going to ask 6 different students, one at a time,to come to the front and write the sentences they have...
