Two arms that need to touch you
To stroke and hold you tight
To soothe away the stress and strain
And be comforting at night.

Two hands to hold between my own
To marvel at the sight
Of how it brings together
Things that are so very right.

Two lips to say 'I love you'
To kiss with fond caress
To let you know for certain
Rather than let you guess.

Two eyes to look sofondly
At everything you are
For whatever you may do in life
You will always be my star.

For everything that's doubled
This one thing's more than sure

Broken glass shatters --
too small to measure
Not that it matters --
It once was a treasure

Broken bones mend --
no scar marks the siteJagged ends blend --
and strongly unite

Broken hearts mend --
but hiding from sight
is the scar -- a good friend
that binds the wound tight

Broken dreams fade
with soft light of dawn
And new dreams are made
though the old ones are gone

But a promise once broken
is no more than dust --
a meaningless token --
the death of a trust -

Blame

The tears run silently downmy face;
Unchecked in any case
But you never noticed, never cared.
With your barbs, my gentle heart was marred.
My soul cries out admits emptiness.
I’ve been numbed into forgetfulness.
Even so, something’s I cannot forget
And even more that I regret.
I blame that on you.

Your words caused my hopes to dive.
Not caring that my dreams kept me alive.
Now I am just a fragile shell.
Deeplysubmerged in my own Hell.
Without purpose or, a mind.
No help comes from you, of any kind.
Losing my hope, faith, and illusions.
Only to find myself deeper in confusion.
Yes, this I blame on you, too.

I trusted you and you broke that trust.
My beliefs were blown away with the dust.
I gave you my heart, you gave me hatred.
That hatred fills me, and will last till I am dead.
Time healsall wounds, but leaves the scars.
Despite all this I have not gone far.
I still stay, its nothing new.
For I hate you, as much as I love you.

like a parched tree that

Darkness In My Night

Sometimes Late at night
I think of the color of
your eyes when you
would laugh, and the
tilt of your head as
youlisten to me,
I remember the warmth
of your touch when we
were close.

Sometimes in the darkness
of those night's when I
think of you ,I can see
you in my mind, and I can
feel your touch, as if you
have just stepped out of the
darkness In my night.

Sometimes I can feel the
love that we once shared
and I feel that it's to bad
that all I have left of you
is a littlecorner of
darkness in my night!

When I think of the way you came into my life,
with your honest words and caring heart,
I wish there was a way to tell you what you mean to me.

I see your face and I hear your voice,
but I can't feel your arms holding me.

In my dreams you're there smiling at me,
laughing, and sharing those moments when
what I feelis so much more than what I can say.

My heart pounds then because I see there
is no way I can keep you out.
To fight would be in vain, so gracefully I
accept what I know must be true.
