* The story isabout Annie Wilkes, who is a crazy woman that kidnapped Paul Sheldon a famous writer. She forced him to write another book. But meanwhile he is writing the book, he felt a lot of pain because he was hurt. He had to resist Annie’s conduct.
* Fanaticism. She said that she found Paul. But I think she could cause Paul’s accident. She had a big obsession toward Paul and misery book.
* Shefelt identified with the character of the book and she was so identified with the book, that when Paul kills misery, she felt that Paul had killed her.
* Violence: because she was crazy, she can not realize about the consequences of his actions .every time she was losing the control of his life. Increasingly with the time, she was losing more the control of his life.
* She killed too manypeople including 5 babies and she cant felt a real love for someone she felt an a rare and rotten kind of love.
* She thought and did a comparison between people and rats.
* In his mind all were like rats so it had no importance if she killed a pair of dirty rats.
* Willpower: Paul was a person in my opinion that had not committed serious crimes or that was accustomed to do bad things.* In the accident he broke his leg and after that, he needed of a drug called Novril that were helping him feel better. When he did not take the drug he felt a terrible kind of pain. And Annie takes advantage of that.
* Despite of Paul’s suffering, he never gave up and that helped him to survive.
