IQ Manager's "How do I…?" Reference guide


Open Office?

There are a few different ways to get into office.
1. Start / Programs / IQ / Office
2. Welcome to Office. Select your name from the list and enter your password.
OR From the IQ application:
1. Manager / Manager / Enter your password / Office
2. Select your name from the list and enter your password.




RunDaily Reports?

1. Open Office
2. Select Reports/ From Today / Online Reports
3. The reports interface opens.
4. Select Reports
5. Find the report you wish to run. (See IQ Reports Doc for further information about reports)


Run Reports from History?

1. Open Office
2. Select Reports / From History / Online Reports
3. The reports interface opens.
4. Enterthe first day you would like to report on in the Start day field, and the last day you wish to report on in the End day field.
5. Once start and end dates are entered, select Reports and find the report you wish to run.


Exit the IQ Application?

1. Click on the Manager button on the bottom of the table map.
2. Select Manger, and enter your manager password.
3. Select QuitApplication.
4. Answer yes to the confirmation question.

OR

1. Using a keyboard press Ctrl, Alt and K all at the same time.
2. Answer yes to the confirmation question.


Reboot Terminals?

When rebooting it is important to always shut the computer down properly. There may be times when the computer will not respond and will have to be powered off manually, but a proper shutdownshould always be attempted first. To shut the computer down properly, follow the steps below:
1. Close all open programs, including IQ.
2. From the Windows Desktop click on the Start button in the lower left-hand corner.
3. Select Shut Down
4. Choose Restart to restart the computer or Shut Down to power off the computer.
5. If choosing to shut down, leave the power off for oneminute before turning back on.
6. Power the computer on. It has been rebooted.


Refresh the Menu?

Whenever a change is made to the menu or database, the menu must be refreshed before the change will be in effect on the workstations. There is more than one way to refresh the menu.

To refresh all workstations from Office (recommended)
1. Click on Network
2. Select RefreshMenu
3. All stations on the network will be refreshed with the latest menu updates.


To refresh a single workstation from IQ

1. From the machine you want to refresh, touch the Manager button on the bottom of the table map.
2. Select Menu Refresh
3. Touch OK to the message indicating that a manager password is necessary.
4. Enter your password and touch Enter.
5. Selectthe menu you wish to refresh and touch OK.
6. The menu will refresh on this station only and you will be returned to the table map.


To refresh one or more workstations from IQ

1. From any machine on the network, touch the Manager button on the bottom of the table map.
2. Select Manager.
3. Enter your password and touch Enter.
4. Select Refresh Menu from the ManagerCommands.
5. In each of the four sections across the top select the workstation, the menu you wish to r refresh, the speed screen for the chosen workstation and the appropriate price list.
6. Once each of the selections is highlighted, touch Set Menu.
7. Answer yes to the confirmation question.
8. The current Stations/Menus/Speed Screens/Price Lists are displayed in the bottom half ofthe screen.
9. Click Close to return to the Manger Commands.
10. Click back to menu to return to the table map.


Comp Items from a Guest’s check?

1. Click on Manager / Manager / Ticket Lookup. (From Office select Reports/ from today/ Ticket lookup)
2. Choose a server or bank from the list on the left.
3. Select the appropriate Ticket.
