Maintenance Planing Ddocument

General

The intent of the Maintenance Planning Document is to provide
the operators with a single place to find all the maintenance
requirements from its different sources. The related source ofmaintenance requirements is described in the MPD SECTION 4.
By maintenance requirement it is understood every action that
needs to be performed periodically in order to avoid hazard to theaircraft that may have economic or safety impact. In this document
the terms taskand maintenance requirementhave the
same meaning.
This document also contains information useful for maintenanceplanning, along each requirement, and in the appendices.
All maintenance requirements listed in this document are subjected
to the rules described in the documents were they are
originated.
2.Applicability
The content of this document is applicable to all ERJ 190 models
of standard configuration and operation.
Standard configuration means all ERJ 190 models.
NOTE: Whenever in this documentERJ 190 models is mentioned,
it refers to ERJ 190-100 and ERJ 190-200
models, which commercial designations are, respectively,
EMBRAER 190 and EMBRAER 195.
Whenever a requirement or interval isapplicable to variations of
the standard configuration, it will be indicated in the applicability
field of the requirement table.
Standard operation is defined as an average annual utilization
from2,500 to 3,000 flight hours (average value 2,750 FH/YR), a
cycle rate of 1FC/1.33 FH (block time), and 1FC/1.17 FH (airborne
time).
Variations in the operation profile like those listed below arenot
covered by this document unless indicated:
• Cargo only operations;
• Mixed cargo and passenger operations;
• Corporate utilization;
• Low utilization - yearly utilization less than 1000 FH;• Category III operations.
In addition, variations in the operational environment, like those
described below, need additional evaluation:
• Highly corrosive environment;
• Exposure to salt;
