Chronicles of Violence
The ‘’Dos Erres’’ massacre is something that the Guatemala as society and country we must not forget. What happened in that townin the year 1983 was something atrocious and inhumane that killed many people. The violence that was in the country on those years was very strong and conflicting. The abuse of power in those dayswas something that was feared by the population. This caused many deaths and too much violence in the country.
In Guatemala you cannot say that violence occurs only at certain times in history.Violence in the country is something you live every day and affects everyone. In ‘’Dos Erres’’ occurred an act of extreme violence which was “Shattered Lands'' applied by the General Rios Montt in '83. Theevent ended up with about two hundred people. This includes approximately seventy children under twelve.
The fact that the government had to train soldiers to kill was very violent act for society.They were the ones who ended violently with many people and towns as "Dos Erres’’. I think that violence in the civil war was something that many people remember and still being affected. Tube also muchimpact on the country's economy and still has repercussions today. Also is a good thing to be investigated for justice for this act of extreme violence.

After what happened at Dos Erres violencestill exists in the case. Myrna Mack was an anthropologist who was working to clarify data during the armed conflict. She was brutally murdered which makes me think that violence continues after thesedays. It cannot be acceptable after many years can’t be cleared up the case. This makes us live in a society with impunity and violence after many time.
In 1996 the country signed the peace accords. Inthese agreements was to cease the violence in the country. The interesting thing is that violence has increased since that day than in the most violent days of the civil war. The country needs...
