II. Narrative Descriptions of Project
The project proposes the rehabilitation and improvements of 49 apartments of the building. The approximated area of the lot ascends to2.835,62 square meters. The project locates in the District of Historic Zone (ZH) according to the Map of Special Zone of Ponce, where in their surroundings residential structures locate, commercial andinstitutional. According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Map Number 72000C1665H, the area where the project is located is classified AO Zone.
The building counts with publicfull-featured facilities and the capacity in the infrastructure services of potable water, sanitary sewage system, electrical energy and telephone facilities existing in the sector. The access to theproject is thru Castillo Street and state road # PR-3 in Ponce.
The building consists of fifteen (15) floors, with 130 housing units all of one (1) bedroom and one (1) bath. Of these, 6units are designed to people with handicaps. The building counts with 70 parking spaces. La Trinidad maintains 81 apartments rented for elderly with subsidiary of Law Number 173 of the Department ofHousing and 49 units under Section 8, Project Base Program.
The first level of the building count with four (4) apartments units, a lobby area where the elevators are located and two emergencystairs. In addition, in this first level are located the facilities of laundry, administration office, service room and activities area.
