Education in Mexico is a hard and sad issue to tell, is a secret that has been covered by years and many powerful people are trying to keep it this way, and they`ll fight for silence. But it`s time to tell everyone the truth, the way Mexico’s government manage this situation, and this is to take action, not to feel lame. Our future is a game and is our job and responsibility to play it well.Every day 35,000,000 students go to school; it took 80 years to make Mexican kids to go to elementary, it sounds like a joke, but it’s the truth. Many adults make a big effort so kids go to school, parents, bus driver, teachers, etc; Because they know that if kids go to school they`ll have a better way of life, with better opportunities and so they`ll be someone important who could make a change..But, is this true?
Say that 100 kids enroll to elementary, eight of them don’t even care t go the first day, 45 graduate of secondary, 27 finish high school, 13 attend to degree, and only 2 of the 100 students will conclude a postgraduate. This means that less of the half of students end with secondary, when any job asks minimum for secondary certificate, so what happens to the rest of this kids, adding the kids that don’t even enroll to go to school? Do you think they`ll work in a decent place or office, like a human being deserves to? In average, a Mexican student study for eight years, a student from United States and Canada studies thirteen years. We are saying that while a Mexican kid barely finishes secondary, and in other countries they finish College. How do we try or even thinkof being a first world country if our bases are this poor?
We are passing through an education crisis, and we`ve been like this 200 years since the Mexican Independence when Mexico fought for rights and equality they asked for “Schools for everyone” and yet we can`t accomplish this. “The most important thing that occurs in a Mexican school is the knowledge transition, but now is exhausted andvanished“, said Sylvia Schmelkes, and expert in education “Now is not to transmit, but to teach how to acquire them”.
We will never be able to change the government policies if we are not aware of how it works and the way school programs are managed. We are so bad educated that we don’t understand how badly educated we all are and the insufficiently of the secretary of public education (SEP). Butis this a problem only in public schools? What would happen if all students studied in a private school? Would education change in a better way and opportunities grow for poor people? Every single school has problems, but unfortunately the worst education is the one the poor people receive. Approximately this is what people gain depending on how long they studied:

Economically talkingit is better to study harder to have a better future gaining more money or opportunities, so why do students stop studying, when they are the one who get benefits from it? We have many people who gain few and less people who gain a lot, so Mexico is a country that has many poor people and few people with money and this is a big problem.
Who is responsible of this? Students, teachers or government? We can`t ask students what teachers haven’t taught them and we can`t ask teachers to teach what they are not capable to. It is very important to have good teachers to know not only what they are teaching, but to know how to teach. A very important fact to know is that in mostly every public school is hard to fire a bad teacher because people that can doesn’t even care. We play to be blind in hardsituations because it is easier than taking action. The truth is that many teachers are not well prepared as they should. The important thing is to teach students how to solve problems by making them notice the importance of them, not by making them repeat text books without knowledge. There are many good teachers and professors but they doesn’t receive any merit from, it so don’t you think it...
