Mi Filosofia Sobre Educacion

My philosophy about education

When speaking about education one of the main ideas that comes to my mind is the importance of the child as an individual within a collective group. This means thatthe child has to be treated as an individual whilst understanding that he or she is part of a global society where they have to deal with reality.

Teachers must assist in the children's development,helping them to grow up to think and fend for themselves on cognitive, emotional and affectionate levels, using different methods and resources to motivate them to be interested in learning in anautonomous way.

Education has to strive to instil principles and ethic values in children with the object that they can be critical as citizens within a democratic society that is constantly changing.To be able to make their own decisions, know what they do or do not want and be able to realize what might be the possible consequences of their choice.

It is important to teach children theethical and moral values of their feelings and emotions and how to deal with their daily problems such as love, friendship, death, freedom, lies, trust, etc..

It is important to help and guide them withtheir own needs and understand their curiosity, suggesting ideas whilst motivating them to search for further knowledge. Individual education is essential for their development.

Experience isimportant in this development together with learning by their own experiments and mistakes thus gaining knowledge.

It is important to create a harmonious environment between teachers, parents andpupils, working in a cooperative way where the teacher's role, as a professional, should be to evaluate their standards in the learning process.

Parents and teachers have to work closely together tofacilitate the child's life. Both groups should respect each other. They must cooperate in the successful upbringing of each child.
