The information technologies have significantly influenced the course of our lives, because not only are media every day if not more companies using means such as Smartphones for business, the advent of the Internet and enable integration of services more effective communication, instantaneous, reflected in reduced time and costs.
But not only have enough cash flow information for good businessopportunity there is to know what to do with the information, such as store and consult, this arises from the term which is the data entry component and output in an information system, this is given by a database system which through a process the end user is presented as information, thereby gaining the relevant information, reducing time and increased productivity.
For this you use thebusiness intelligence data is the use of a company to facilitate decision-making. It encompasses understanding the actual operation of the company, or the anticipation of future events, with the aim of providing knowledge to support business decisions.
Intelligence tools are based on the use of an intelligence system that forms with different data from production data, with information about the companyor its fields and economic data.
Using the tools and techniques ELT (extract, load and transform), and current ETL (extract, transform and load) to extract data from various sources, are cleaned and prepared (homogenization of the data) and then loaded into a data warehouse.

Companies like TJX Companies, Wal-Mart, Home depot and ups are examples of the use of MIS, where they have the abilityto access historical data, generate graphs with trends and from that point make decisions to improve productivity.

Databases

A database is a "warehouse" that allows us to store large amounts of information in an organized way so that we can then easily find and use.

A DBMS is a database program. Technically speaking, this is a software system that uses a standard method of cataloging,retrieval and run queries on data. The DBMS manages data entry, organizes, and provides ways for data to be extracted or modified by users or other programs.

Several types of databases which have been created by market needs these include the following:
Hierarchical model. These are databases which, as its name suggests, stores its information in a hierarchical structure. In this model data isorganized in a manner similar to a tree (see reverse), where a parent node of information can have several children. The node has no parent is called the root, and nodes without children are known as leaves.
One of the main limitations of this model is its inability to efficiently represent the data redundancy.

Network model. This is a slightly different model of hierarchical, their fundamentaldifference is the modification of node concept: it allows the same node has several parents (possibility not allowed in the hierarchical model).
It was a great improvement over the hierarchical model because it offered an efficient solution to the problem of data redundancy, but even so, the difficulty which means managing information in a database network has meant to be a model used in mostlyby programmers rather than end users.

Relational model is the model currently used to model real problems and manage data dynamically.
In this model, where and how data is stored are not relevant (unlike other models such as hierarchical and network). This has the considerable advantage of being easier to understand and use for a sporadic user database. Information can be retrieved or storedthrough "consultations" that offer great flexibility and power to manage information.
