Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower was design by Engineer Gustav Eiffel, who had to overcome many problems to build it, because the people from Paris didn’t want the tower to be built.

The Tower wasbuilt during 1884 and opened to Public on August 31, 1889 to celebrate the first 100 years of the French Revolution. But people from Paris didn’t want the Tower, they considered horrible so it will bedemolished after the International Show ended in 1900 that will take place in Paris.

But there were people who did love the Tower and tried to save it. The French army was able to save the towerwhen after some experiments; they proved it was a privileged place for radio transmission.

Its original height was 312 meter and after the radio antenna was installed, its final height is 324meters.

The Big Ben
The name Big Ben is often used to describe the tower, the clock and the bell but the name was first given to the Great Bell. It was completed in may 1859 but the entire system wasworking until September 1859.

The Big Ben tower was included in the design of the Parliament rebuilding after the 1834 big fire. The Queen’s Clockmaker, Benjamin Lewis was in charge of the Clock. TheTower didn’t have a great opening because the construction was delayed for 7 years.
The last problem was happened when the construction party discovered that there was not enough space to fit theplanned clock design.
The Clock didn’t function at first because the iron hands were too heavy; they were replaced with cupper hands and the clock started working, then the chimes of the Great Bellwere added, also known as Big Ben.

The Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal was the tomb of queen Mumtaz Mahal for a decade; it was made to be the queen’s house in Paradise.
The taj Mahal was built in 22years with the orders of Shah Jahan and was dedicated to his third wife of the Shah, who died when she was giving birth to their 14th child. It was built according to Islamic architecture.
