A Physical and Psychological Problem
Revenge is the repressed resentment against a person or group. The real problem rests1 inside the person. In fact, someof the most famous murderers in history ( Charles Manson , Richard Ramírez, Ailen Wuornos and Ed Gein) had a traumatic childhood or were marked by some important event during their childhood. Somewere emotionally or psychologically abused by their parents.
There are some other factors that can explain why a person seeks2 vengeance:
CHEMICAL FACTOR:
I will start by explaining what serotoninand testosterone is. The first thing that we have to know is that they are both hormones. The first one is responsible for maintaining stability while under emotional stress and the other one isassociated with the need to dominate. Therefore when a child has a low level of serotonin and a high level of testosterone there is a huge possibility that this child will cause harm to others,especially, if the person attacked is a child, due3 to an additional actor which comes into play and that is the SOCIAL ENVIORNMENT FACTOR.
SOCIAL ENVIORNMENT FACTOR:
It is one of the most importantfactors, it involves our families, our friends and generally applies to any interaction that we have in our childhood. It is split into4 two areas:
• Family relationships: The family is the firstinteraction that a child has, thereby, if there is a bad relationship within the family, the child will grow up with a negative attitude towards life. The mistreatment of children ranging from humiliation(psychological abuse) to beatings and violations (physical abuse), sometimes drives5 a child to seek revenge, in present and later life.
