Norte Grande: The origin of desierto florido
Main ideas:
In a small town in Chile, called Monte Patria, lived a girl named Añañuca. This was very beautiful, but none boy won his love.Añañuca fell in love with a young miner who was looking for a mythical golden vein. Lived together for a while, but one night the young man had a revelation about where he was what he sought and left,promising to Añañuca that he would return.
Añañuca died of grief because her lover never returned. The villagers were saying the miner who had swallowed a mirage and they buried the girl on a rainy day.Añañuca was transformed into a red flower as a gesture to always be whit her lover. This phenomenon called “desierto florido” occurs between Copiapó and the Valley Quilimarí.Rapa Nui (Easter Island): The beginning of the world
Main Ideas:
In Rapa Nui when there was not anything, there was an altercation between spirits, becausethey wanted to start a revelion. The most powerful was transformed into mountains and volcanoes and the repentant into stars.
Powerful spirit transform your child into a man, threw him to the groundand this'm stunned. the mother felt sadness and opened a window in the sky to see where sometimes you see the pale face of man.
The powerful spirit became a star in a woman to accompany your child.The couple met and found that the world was beautiful.
The spirits were watching through the window, on the day the sun (powerful spirit) and at night the moon (mother).Glossary:
