Nacional Patrimony’s Day
In May 2000, issued Decree No. 252 at the request of The National Council of National Monuments, by which was established as an event on the cultural heritage ofChile, to be held the last Sunday of May. This year will be on Sunday May 29.
The goal of national monuments of the cultural heritage of Chile is to consecrate a holiday and reflection on values, therole and significance of our cultural heritage. It was established to enhance the dissemination, level of society, of the goods that make up our cultural heritage and to encourage awarenessabout their vulnerability and our responsibility as everyone in their protection.
We must be considered that the heritage of a nation is made up of the territory it occupies, its flora and fauna,and all the creations and expressions of people who have lived: their social, legal and religious language and material culture from oldest historical epochs.
You have to know that this day youcan find with free activities throughout the country on Sunday May 29th will be celebrated on "Cultural Heritage Day", at which time the doors opened more than 75 heritage buildings (free pay).
