In the past all female expectations were focused in thesearch for a husband, and the only approach to education was the preparation to be the perfect wife. Nowadays things are very different. Most women have access to education, can work in any field,have active participation in sports, politics, and can have an opinion and a voice. However there is still a lot to do. Women are in a disadvantage situation in relation to men. The change bringssome rights but also an increase in the duties. Equality has not yet being achieved and complacency in both men and women prevent for the change.

Feminism is the fight for women’s rights and as aresult, and as a result, women gain voice and vote, a place in society. However this also brings more work. Nowadays, a woman does not only work at home, but also have to get a job in the labourmarket. The obligations with their children and husband are the same. Men are in a comfortable situation, whit a wife taking care of every detail and also contributing to the bills and costs. All thehousehold duties should be shared. In a modern marriage, things are not very different they there were before the fight for equality. Women should start to negotiate their obligations and duties withtheir partners, to get a better deal in their marriage lives.
