Planet Earth is our home, and people are damaging it, ignoring the consequencesof their actions. The planet is home to millions of species of life, including humans. It means that the damage they cause affects everything. The human perspective regarding the Earth is widelyviewed from a globally integrated perspective. This is reflected in a growing environmental movement that is concerned about humankind's effects on the planet. There are serious environmental issues weare facing. Ignorance may be bliss, but it's getting increasingly difficult to ignore the damage we are doing to the environment, especially when we see and feel the effects so close to us. These aresome of the biggest environmental threats that Mother Earth and consequently society is facing: a) Climate change; b) Deforestation; c) Pollution; d) Loss of diversity; e) Melting Polar Ice-Caps andRising Sea Levels; f) Oceanic Dead Zones; g) Explosive Population Growth.
