Obesity problem continues increasing.
The United States has the highest obesity rates in the world, “Currently, 72 percent of men and 63 percent of women are overweight or obese” (White, 2011). Thereby population suffering from health problems and early death as a result of being overweight or obese, a problem wich hasincreased greatly in the last several years. “Obesity increases the risk of Type-2 diabetes, heart disease, and some cancers” (CDCAlthough most people know the risks of your poor diet, they still continue with their old style of eating. I don’t think that the government should control our diets because it is a natural right chooses our own foods. However, the government must carry out some actionsto address the matter and try to improve the quality of the foods sold in the fast food restaurants as quickly as possible.
First of all, the government spends a lot of money in assist at people that suffer of chronic illnesses like diabetes, cancer, and high blood pressure. These people need assistance regularly with a doctor, and help with medicines, incapacities, and prosthesis by Medicare,and other health Programs. All these, cause a massive expense for the government. “Costs for obese patients enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid hit $7 billion a year for the non-institutionalized population and are largely attributable to the spending for prescription drugs and hospitalizations”, (Walker, 2009), Every year the government increases its spend in this type of problems, “Overallobesity-related health spending reaches $147 billion, double what it was nearly a decade ago” (CDC).
For this reason, the government should carry out some actions of precaution to try avoiding these terrible consequences. For instance the government must regulates foods in public and private schools, for example avoiding the consumption of junk food and canned soft drink. The government should banthe selling of this soft drink. We know the aluminum is absorbed in the brain and is related to the Alzheimer’s, also avoid eating candies that causes episodes of hyperactivity in children with Attention Deficit Disorders. Beside problems of dental cavities and weight gain. In effect, is convenient to teach Nutrition Conferences in all schools to encourage at children to develop good dietaryhabits early in their life. At the same time the government should supervise all restaurants and all the companies that produce food like cookies, cereals, breads, and snacks. They should regulate

the types and amounts of ingredients that they use in their recipes, especially the use of Hydrogenated and Trans fats, wich are artificial fats, and are related with some types of cancer, besideslimiting the use of white sugar and salt wich are also harmful.
In addition, the government must implement free aerobic sessions for all the population,
in free spaces, thus combating a sedentary lifestyle and promoting the good health. "We have ways of changing behavior and changing those health outcomes so that we don't have to deal with the medical consequences of obesity (Levi, 2011). Theaerobic sessions contribute to combating being obesity and helps people avoid a lot of diseases.
Finally, cheap clinics can be implemented for people who aren’t citizen or legal residents, and do not have not health insurance or Medicare, and cannot attend to medical consultations and medical laboratories when they require it, because the percentage of sick people is higher among minorities.
Peopleeat junk food because they need to eat something outside their homes. It’s hard to go home and make lunch, because there isn’t not enough time to prepare and eat foods.
