Summary The AcademicPathway consists of a calendar of English language exercises and activities aimed at practising skills that can be applied when lecturing through English. The exercises and activities are based on resources that already exist on the internet and the assignments are worksheets that have been created by the course tutor. The entire content of the pathway focuses on oral discourse, the language oflectures and English for Academic Purposes (EAP). OBJECTIUS Aims
s s s sTo provide participants with resources for long-term use and reference in the future. To provide participants with tools they can use to become independent learners on the language of lectures. To practise English language skills specific to oral discourse common in a classroom environment. To provide lecturers with an opportunity to receive feedback on assignments related to the language oflectures.
PLA DE TREBALL Calendar The pathway has been scheduled for an eight-week period, beginning 21 May and ending 18 July. The study load is 40 hours. Each unit is programmed to last a week. Each unit works on one specific area of language related to lectures and oral discourse. There are assignments to be handed in at various stages throughout the pathway.
